Raised pavement markers also known as ‘Cat’s Eyes’ are regulatory devices used to amplify pavement markings. Advantageous for delineation during the day, night and in wet weather, these coloured directional cues also provide audible warnings when traversed by vehicles.
RPM’s complement all line types including centreline markings, lane lines and edge lines and are also used for channelised islands and chevrons markings.
Temporary raised pavement markers are used to temporarily delineate the road surface after a new seal or when a ‘traffic switch’ is required and no markings are present on the road surface. Once the road is ready for new longitudinal markings, these markers are simply removed leaving no damage to the new surface.
Our Raised Pavement Markers Equipment & Technology
Allstate designed and developed a one-of-a-kind RPM truck that physically removed the operators from the roadside and tripled productivity by allowing removal and installation of RPMs to occur simultaneously. The importance of health and safety within our team is paramount, this allowed us to remove more of our team off the road to help create a safer workplace for all.
