Community Involvement
Rosies is a volunteer not for profit organisation which aims to provide unconditional acceptance and friendship to people who are marginalised within the community – especially those who are homeless, at risk, or simply lonely. Their mission is to ensure that no Queenslander feels left out or disconnected from their community.
The Smith Family is an independent non-partisan children’s charity helping disadvantaged Australian Children for over 100 years to get the most out of their education, so they can help create better futures for themselves and give them the best chance to break the cycle of disadvantage. Their out-of-school learning support and mentoring programs help children in need to fit in at school, keep up with their peers, and build better aspirations for a better future.
Internationally, the team also supports the Starfish Malaysia Foundation who provide safe housing and food to hundreds of children within the community. Starfish Malaysia helps to educate youth by providing them with safe and sustainable facilities which allow them to attend local schools, elevating income through agriculture expertise and empowering communities by setting up business opportunities and training facilities for rural entrepreneurs.
